At a cafe my order came to my table a bit late considering there weren't many customers at the time and a staff member was chatting with her friends. But to make it worse, my friend's order came much later than mine, after he reminded them that he was still waiting for his coffee. They said they were busy though obviously they weren't. So my friend pointed out that that staff member was very busy chatting with her friends. Their apology was not sincere at all. This incident ruined the evening.

Only offering English dubbed foreign movies is an insult to both movie and viewers. :x

i got told off for correcting somebody who mispronounced my name. i wasn't mean about it either. the guy who told me off said i gave the woman sh## and says it makes people feel inadequate when i correct them. there was no sh## involved. i don't really care how they are made to feel. it's my name and just because i have an ethnic name doesn't mean it can be constantly mispronounced and i just have to accept it. i get there are sounds english speakers can't make and thats why i have an accepted mispronunciation. if they cant pronounce the mispronunciation right then they are inadequate. my name is a reflection of my identity and my ethnic identity. i do not want it anglicised. it's not the 50s.

also i have no internet at home because it ran out again.

I have a cold, and I wasn't able to fuss the homeless cat in the pet shop who kept trying to rub against the glass and gave me sad kitty eyes every time I walked away...

This didn't happen today, but yesterday. I went on a walk with the guy at my office that I've been crushing on. I commented that he seems to know everyone (He said hello to about 5 people on our way out of the building). He said of our co-workers, but it could just as easily have been me, (paraphrase): "They're just desperately waiting for someone to treat them with a little humanity."
Which doesn't sound so bad, but... He said it in a way that seemed really manipulative? Like he sees the need for connection and he also sees how to exploit that for his own benefit? It was a really alarming moment.

I really like this guy, he's smart and funny and likes similar music. He even gave me hip hop pointers that are appealing but not too current (mustn't be TOO up to date  ). I like his sense of humor and he occasionally laughs at my jokes.

But if that's how he sees the rest, he must see me the same way because I'm entirely in the same boat. I don't want to be a favor-in-waiting. Plus, he's married to a really awesome sounding lady. So I also feel like crushing on him is wrong. Like Lorraine Bracco from Goodfellas should scream at me "Get Your Own Godd@mn Man!!".

I was hoping for updated puppy pictures from the breeder. Nada. Again. It's harder to herd them around now though.. unless they are sleeping, but that is just cheating.

I have to keep my cat inside for a few days probably which he wont like, he came home with his claws rather shredded and some of his back ones are shredded far enough to bleed a little(no blood flow now seems its scabbed). He must have lost his grip on some highish rough surface and tried hanging on or something. He's not in injured otherwise, and certainly not in pain and even purred when I cleaned the blood off with peroxide.

Cant really think of any other ways he could have managed that, on the internet I found getting hit by a car could cause that by the cat clawing the ground but I'd think he'd at least be pretty bruised up and mangled if anything like that happened. or maybe he got freaked out while walking on the sidewalk or some rough surface because sometimes he'll claw the ground pretty hard before taking off running during a startle reflex he has he does it on the wood floor all the time. So yeah not to happy about that, he was doing good catching the mice but he might have to put that on hold for a while.
