From my point of view, the closest point on the Equator would be in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Is the country politically stable and safe enough so that I can start a project of constructing a loo there? Are all necessary raw materials available in Congo? Do I have to build the plumbing, too, or does it suffice if I simply clear the woods for the road? What sort of paper work is to be expected? Are there ferocious predators and poisonous spiders on the site? What kinds of weapons do I have to carry with me?

GEWWW! One of the cars I was looking at turned out to be owned by a bankrupt company and encumbered at that. That's just messy.

But then again if I go behind the seller's back and try to negotiate a sale with the company external administrator instead I may be able to get it at a firesale price :twisted:

Trying once again to download and install Windows updates.

SPOILER ALERT: It's going to fail.

I've had this laptop (Sony Vaio with Windows 8.1) for two years now, and I haven't installed a single update for it because it never works. If it works this time, I'll post a written apology to Microsoft for all the terrible things I've said about them ever since Windows 8 was unleashed upon the world.

Too bad that won't happen.

It's always great to have some closure. It's what I always wanted.

Her 'still thinking of me" was certainly the last thing I ever would have expected. If ever we make plans again i'll be sure not to be surprised when she "get's sick" last minute. She thinks I don't know it, after nearly four years.

She's a working lady now. I can't believe it.

When I type three exclamation marks together on WP, the first and the second are close together but the second and the third have a noticeably larger gap between them. ! !!

EDIT: this time the first and the second have the larger gap. Doesn't look neat.

I knocked over a glass of water inside the fridge and had to clean up the resulting mess. In doing so, I found a reeeeally old passion fruit and an old peeled clove of garlic in the hidden corner. Luckily both had only dried and shriveled up, not moldy.

i calculated that it would cost roughly $279 million to purchase and bulldoze all the properties that lie in a straight line between my house and the supermarket and then have a driveway constructed between my garage and it's most convenient parking spot.

Apparently I'm supposed to buy some private health cover before 30 June so I don't pay some premium loading if I buy it later. I can't seem to find any cover that is cheap and sh***y enough.
