I confess that I didn't have my tea (not the beverage, but the evening meal) until after midnight both yesterday and the day before, and that this was because my flatmates were in the kitchen. They are in the kitchen again tonight, so I haven't eaten yet today since breakfast. Thus, I confess I am a coward.

I confess.... I don't know the situation, McTell but maybe a water cooker thing on your room could do the trick. Tea whenever you want. They not really expensive.

I confess.... yes, an electrical kettle or elec. water boiler. Extra can or bottle full of water to refill the thing, tea bags and a pot. Tea.

I confess.... I melange my own tea. With two different flavoured teabags (earl grey + English blend) and tada.... thyme (for the extra iron plus taste). Made sweet with honey.

I confess.... I do not stew the tea too long but suit yourself of course. Overdrawn tea.... not my cup.

I confess that I have caused misunderstanding. By 'tea' I mean the big meal that is had in the evening about 5, 6 or 7 o'clock. I believe this use of the word 'tea' is a Scottish thing (I know it certainly doesn't appear in my OED). My problem isn't that my flatmates being in the kitchen is robbing me of cups of tea (although that would be a very British thing to confess to), but rather that I am sometimes not eating between lunch and midnight.

I also confess I am entirely ignorant of what the 'correct' English word for the aforementioned meal is. I'm quite embarrassed by this.

I confess I should be asleep, but I'm waiting for my meds to kick in.
