I confess I asked a girl in class today if she wanted to be in my group for the next project (the one after we're working on now) and though a bit speechless and timidly smiling, she said yes!
She is a bit shy and I may be taking it the wrong way but I feel like a stud right now.

You probably made her day by asking her and given that she seems so shy, she was probably quite relieved that you asked her instead of vice versa.
