I'm Polish 
with German ancestry, like many people here, in FSD. We call it diluted. And people with ancestors moved by force from the East are diluted Russians.

I'm American and I'm proud of it. I may not always like our government and how things are done but I will always love my country.
My heritage is half Russian, a quarter Basque and almost a quarter Irish with a possible dash of Hungarian/Rom and a wee drop of Norse. I'm still working on my genealogy.
IMO there is nothing wrong with just being American. But I believe its respectful/honourable to know who your ancestors were and where they came from.

That's so cool Erminea! The one female best friend I have from my childhood is Dutch. She move back to Den Haag I think it was called. Sorry I am not so familiar with Holland and the spelling of the places there.
