I always said Dubstep sounds like Optimus Prime and Megatron doing the dirty in a microwave.

Oh God, I forgot the anthropomorphic burnt hot dogs. My sister was one for so long, people called her Oompa Loompa (the fake blonde-turned-greenish hair didn't help things either.

Dubstep is pretty annoying, and Justin Bieber is too. I'm not worried about that though, because like most fads they will slip into
obscurity like most things. For example, anyone remember The Naked Brothers Band... don't worry if you haven't, I doub't anyone remembers them anymore. They had a television show only five years ago.

Tight rolled jeans. If you don't like bell bottoms, wear tapered jeans instead. They're not hard to find.

Electric cars. I have run the numbers and they don't make sense. Even if the car cost the same as a ICE car, the cost of filling up with electricity per mile is not that much cheaper than running a fuel efficient car (like a Prius C or an old Metro XFI) on gasoline. I think the numbers I ran for a Chevy Volt put it at about the equivalent cost of running a gasoline car that gets 57 mpg, back when gas was around $4 a gallon. Plus you then have to factor in battery life and replacement cost and you go further down the toilet. The only way it makes sense is if you are able to charge it off of a home solar array or some other sort of off grid system that you own (micro-hydro, wind, etc.)

Now I am not against them being on the market. However, I am against government subsidies to put them there as I don't feel that everyone else needs to be subsidizing wealthy people who want to buy toy cars just so that they can be fashionable and "green". If you want one, buy it without a tax break.

Besides pointless reality shows, baggy pants that allows someone's undies to show (what if the person had to suddenly run away)?

Cell phones.

I guess that makes me sound a bit nutty, like those people who used to think TV was a passing fad. But then I no longer watch TV, so I guess for me it was. :D

What is a fad, a quick craze that everyone would rather soon forget after the hype dies down? Well some fads never seem to die. When does it cross the line into a longer-term trend? Or into everyday norm. Mobile phones are certainly not a fad, and txt messaging has become the norm too. Certain clothing trends mentioned above are more than fleeting fads, when some have been consistent for over a decade. Many fads I just don't notice till they become trends. Some of the trends that I don't get are jeans worn so low the kids look like they've s**t themselves. Crotch-grabbing and all the other unsavory macho fads. "Reality"shows, especially dating ones and those singing competition shows have been done to death. Emo with the razor cut hair, died black or multicolored, huge fake eyelashes and too much eye makeup, I can't tell those girls and boys apart. Beiber culture, boy-bands, Twilight, and the plethora of other teen vampire books, tv shows, movies etc.

Haha, I kind of like some dubstep, for that very reason.

Wearing pajama pants and fuzzy slippers out and about.
Bra straps showing on purpose.
Talking LOUDLY on Walkie-talkies, or whatever those things are.....
Talking LOUDLY on cell phones
Public breast feeding (There's pumps, you know)
Sharing your music (Use earbuds!)
Obviously encouraging your kids to indulge in cocaine or methamphetamine before bringing them to the store where I am trying to shop.

Pants that don't go up to your waist. Unless your stomach is flat and without any markings you'll probably look bad in these. I don't like to wear them. I find them to be uncomfortable, always feel like I need to pull them up, and I think they make me look fatter than I actually am. I also have stretch marks.

Many of my jeans go all the way up to my waist.
