I haven't had a sandwich in over a year. Gluten gives me dizzy spells, so no bread for me.

:( there is such a thing as gluten-free bread, plus there are recipes on the web. just a thought.

do you know what a wish sandwich is? a wish sandwich is the kind of a sandwich where you have 2 slices of bread, and you WISH you had some meat :P
so does anybody know what kind of sandwich you have, with just meat and no bread? an atkins sandwich? there has to be a better name for it!

you could make a sandwich with 2 slices of meat and have maybe some cheese in between the 2 meats, that would indeed be a sandwich that folk with wheat allergies might be able to stomach. plus if one wants to lose some weight, this sandwich would help, as eating sufficient of these would cause fat to burn off in the absence of carbs from the missing bread. but you'd have to drink lots of water as ketosis [fat burning] is hard on the kidneys.

Gluten-free bread is like sugar-free candy or fat-free cream cheese. In other words, not what I consider real food.

In all fairness, I haven't bothered going out looking for fake bread; there are plenty of other things to eat. For all I know, it could be delicious. Or not.

I guess the Wish Sandwich is kind of like the Jam Sandwich. (You take two slices of bread and jam them together.)

:)
