and if a double-decker bus
crashes into us
to die by your side
such a heavenly way to die
and if a ten ton truck
kills the both of us
to die by your side
the pleasure and the privilege is mine

One possible interpretation of this post is that Henbane is in love.

Is there something you're not telling us?

That's one possible interpretation. Or that I feel like being splatted by an articulated lorry. One or the other.

i know no other way than just to say it straight
i want to shout it from the rooftops
'cos you wake me up and light me up
When your eyes start dancing with my mind

My Dying Bride - Le Figlie della tempesta (Daughters of the storm)

Whenever I feel super melancholic (which happens frequently), this is the song I will listen to. It reminds me of a person and how she is very much as described in these lyrics:

Quote:
Before I go down
Cleave to me
Kiss and drown

Weave your web of lies
Catch the drifters by

Bring me love songs
Sing me black tunes
Read me kind words
Of sun and moon
Love me freely
Open up to me
Feel me closely
Say you love me

The wind brings them in
To your den of sin

Caught by your divine spell
Locked within your
wishing well

Ice as eyes lured my soul
Look of lust froze me cold

Many lies holds your body
A true feast for all to see

Men will fall to her song
Women too, won't last long.

Heart Cooks Brain by Modest Mouse

Slow walk
It's land mine
It's coal mine
It's a bad thought
On the way to god don't know
My brain's the burger and my heart's the coal
I'm trying to get my head clear
I push things out through my mouth
I get refilled through my ears
I'm on my way to god don't know or even care
My brain's the weak heart, and my heart's the long stairs
Inland from Vancouver shore
The ravens and the seagulls push each other inward and outward
Inward and outward
In this place that I call home
My brain's the cliff, and my heart's the bitter buffalo
My heart's the bitter buffalo
We tore one down, and erected another there
The match of the century: absence versus thin air
On the way to god don't know
My brain's the burger and my heart's the coal
On this life that we call home
The years go fast and the days go so slow

Slowly the pen touches paper in the guidance of the words that you write
memories roll in of the things you once did
and who you had shared them with, is somebody thinking of you
did I bother telling you this, with the words that cross teeth and jump lips
a poor choice of words in wanting to tell you anything
but words don't come with ease they're forever my hurt

i went for a bush walk today and it was very sunny and pleasant. i walked up a hill and sat on a sandstone ledge and beheld the serene expanse of bushland below me and i thought of this song. you should close your eyes and not look at the picture.
