Needles. Especially getting a blood test. I have to look at it though for my own sick pleasure. I actually passed out one time during a blood test because the lady couldn't get the needle to enter a vein, and she was moving it around under my skin, and the room smelled like that stuff they put on your arm before they do it.

Yeah, needles suck. Especially the Novacaine in the dentists.

My real phobia, however, is loud sudden noises. I am not one who likes surprises.

I'm like Isabel in Mozart and the Whale when it comes to loud noises.

It wasn't that painful... until I got sick. :(

Spiders is my big one. Heights, at least somewhat. When I was younger I used to have a phobia about being suffocated, specifically about not being able to touch my noise and mouth too. I think this related to the bad asthma and allergies I had. Now that i can breath I am no longer terrified of being suffocated and I am ok with wearing helmets and stuff. Swimming pools make me leery, but that is just because I am a little afraid someone might make me swim! I think I was traumatized by PE class. I like lakes and oceans and creeks and other bodies of water and find going into them voluntarily and all rather nice.

Not to fond of spiders either. I also freak out if I think heavily enough about ghosts.

My cousin tried to teach me how to swim and all she did was make me afraid of water. I eventually did learn to swim but it was on my own terms.

The solution to that one I suppose is not to have sex.

I HATE NEEDLES.

And recently discovered a fear of bloodletting. I hate watching shows about blood and stuff on the telly. Just watched one about stigmata and I spent the whole time pacing because it was so gross (but fascinating.)

Drinking large volumes of water at once.

Don't get me wrong, I do drink a lot during the day, but in small parts.

I took an overdose of 28 tablets a while ago. I swallowed them very fast one by one with water, which is why my throat just locks up when I drink more than half a glass of water at once.

I had to drink a litre of water for a pelvic scan. I was freaking out for most of the time.

-Headless bodies (Must be the neck stump)
-Heights
-Clowns (Actually I hate them more than i'm scared of them)
-Rubber Johnny (Aphex Twin video, CREEPY AS HELL!)

Flying. I have this dread of it because I'm terrified of dying, and can't get over the thought that it is very dangerous and any flight may crash. Watching or hearing about numerous plane disasters on the news doesn't help either.

Heights. Just coming out onto the balcony on the fifth floor or higher and seeing the street below makes me dizzy. Even when I'm standing in a corner opposite the railing, or when the balcony has been turned into a closed veranda and is completely safe. I'd *love* to try a sport like hang-gliding, - flying as if on wings on my own is something that fascinates me mightily, - but I know I'll never be able to do it because of this fear. It'll make my heart stop.

people dressed up as clowns? or clown dolls / puppets? I find both a little creepy myself.

Some insects and arachnids. Big fat hairy and dusty moths that circle my living room light at night if I leave the windows open. Heights. People dressed up in costume who follow me and copy my actions, like a carnie at movie-world, Australia, who was dressed as a zombie vampire. Each time I turned around his face was an inch from mine. and other people laughed but I didn't because IT WASN'T BLOODY FUNNY! :x

Curiously, If I go to the top of a tall building, stare down despite the fear, then go back to ground floor, I feel this real exhilaration...

I'm not sure because if I was in a situation where I had to face what I am afraid of, I don't think my fears would bother me. So I wouldn't say I have a phobia but I am quite afraid of creepy bugs.
