In no particular order...
hale_bopp - Prolific poster; Makes an effort to join in on every topic it seems. Puts a face to AS that we can all love!
Scintillate - Seems to think like me. How could I not like that?
CockneyRebel - If we had a Eccentric Celebrity,it would be Cockney. Never change Cockney; your strange is good. ding! ding!
Willow - Kind hearted, I can tell. Shes quick with a compliment, especially to new people. Pretty as anything.
BazzaMcKenzie - all around nice guy.
Emmetman - Elderstatesman. Regardless of age. Not just intelligent, but wise.
Xuincherguixe - who holds vastly different politcal view than me, but argues them with intelligence and calmness that expands my viewpoint. Thanks.
Alex- For WP. thanks Alex.

And many others. you are the multitude, but you are not forgotten(just unnamed!)

To add someone I think hasn't been mentioned, I used to look up to DirtDawgz but he left.

Its all but impossible to make friends to the degree that they would say they admire
you in such a short time interval on the net. Since I have been here (5 months)really only MrMark became very well like quickly. And even he had a number of people that
did not like him at first. If he would have been scared away then none of us
would no his name. Oh in case you do not know he is a moderator now. Anyway it takes time to make friends.

I've never been to South Aus. Only been to Victoria (lived there for 20 years), Queensland (lived there a for total of maybe 2 years), and WA (just got here this year). I've been through NSW.
