This is my new theme song. Not that one by some band.

My father died exactly 3 weeks before I was born. My elder (and only) sister was 3½ years old when he died.
He died of a thing called synovial sarcoma. A rare form of bone tumor. He was 27 years old when he died, and Mum was pregnant with me.

He was a sheet metal worker for the State Rail. He had an accident and his ankle crumbled.

He went to the doctor's and the doctor said to him, "If you want a day off work, why don't you just say so?"

He said, he really had a problem, so they did an x-ray.

The doctor said, "I'm sorry, but you've got a serious problem"

After that, they amputated his foot.

After that, they amputated him at the knee.

After that, they amputated his whole leg and said, "We're 99% sure you're cured!"

Shortly after that, he got a lump in his neck, his eyes went yellow. I can't remember much else that Mum told me - but with her dementia, it's all lost now.

He never lost his sense of humour though. There was apparently, a ret*d boy that used to live down the end of our street and he was walking past one day and said, "Hey mister! What happened to your leg?" and my Dad said, "Shark got it!" LOL

The night he went to hospital (the last visit), he was in bed and said to Mum, "I need to go to the toilet." We had an outside toilet and Mum said she'd bring him the bucket but he insisted on going there b himself.

He got half way down the hall on his crutches and staggered and fell into a glass cabinet we used to have in the hall.

He went into a coma, went into hospital and died shortly after.

I was born 3 weeks later.

Mum had to raise 2 children on her own. And she did a bloody good job too. Although, she could never teach me how to shave. :)

Very strong woman - Pity - and a very sad ending for one who had such a hard life and did nothing but good all her life.

She was only 23 years old when he died!

I've got my hanky out right now.

I don't think I can handle the bank job. I think I'd be happier working at the factory with Brent and Georgine.

But, who's going to sing "Maybe It's Because I'm a Londoner? We're all Canadians."

Well, I'm here in Banky, about to go to Yum Cha. Just having a coffee while I wait for my family to show up

I like my natural face now and I'm more accepting of my sensitive nature. I'm a combination of Mick Avory and Schultz from Hogan's Heroes. I may never get down to weighing 175 lbs. In fact, I think that's too steep of a goal right now. If I ever get down to that weight, I'll stay true to the 1940s and the Late 60s and I will never go back to that stupid Mod hair or the Mod clothes again. There's nothing wrong with my long face, double chin or my slightly misty eyes. It's okay to be sensitive and cry, but not before my shift at work. I've also got to stop trying to be like Dean the way I've been doing for the past 10 years. It's okay to look up to him. It's not okay to act like him towards Barb. He's actually a very insensitive person 50% of the time when he's picking on Barb. I don't want to be like that anymore.

Hey ImAnAspie whats up?

This is like a random discussion where you are the boss

Not at all.

I made this thread purely for myself - purely for my own entertainment but anyone's free to join in - if they care to stick around. If they don't, well see the original post. I like company though.

I made it so I could record my thoughts, favourite music, pictures - I don't mind repeating stuff and I can do it without bothering anyone else.

This is a thread I made purely for myself but if you choose to join in, you're more than welcome.
:D

Ah sorry for the misunderstanding,

What kinda media do you prefer to entertain yourself with? TV? Movies? Videos? Books? Audio CDs? etc?
