Or on a more conventionally made version:

It is indeed!

Some people have removed unnecessary parts & upgraded to violin strings and spring return keys etc to get these 14” playable models to sound half decent. That’s the plan - do those things, paint it, see if it sounds okay, maybe take it to the beach. 8)

Hah! I'd looked at that on Ugears a while ago and recognised it immediately.
Looks like it's going to be a fun build, and the modifications can only improve it - it's a bit on the squeaky side...

Come to think of it, I have actually seen the drywall-taping device before, in the back of someone's van. Drywall / plasterboard construction seems to be far less common here than in North America, so I've never witnessed it being put up or repaired. My current flat is the first place I've ever lived with plasterboard interior walls- gave me a shock when I drilled into it with a masonry drill!

Yeah, I’ve never been to the uk but afaik there’re a lot of stone/brick walls, and the smooth ones tend to be plaster vs drywall.

Meanwhile, here, probably 99.789% of residential walls & ceilings are drywall and Most commercial ones, too, with some brick & concrete here and there.

I was describing what my job is to a guy at the beach and was shocked to hear he’s Never seen someone constructing a drywall wall before so has no idea what my trade or the process look like. For a guy in his 30’s who’s lived here all his life I found that bizarre! I mean, literally everyone has passed by a home/business under construction and looked in an open window or door before.. strange to me that he’s never noticed. Not so strange that You haven’t seen it.
