The temperature dropped to 19.2 degrees F (- 7.1 degrees C) this morning. Just a small dusting of snow.

just btw, have had several advise me to set the taps at the sink, kitchen and bathroom to dribble,a tiny amount of water constantly in below 32F temps ..suppose to be that flowing water does not freeze? Generally this is a good approach. The water underground is warmer then the water on the surface. So in general when the temperatures drop below freezing, you are preventing the water from freezing in the pipes because you are bringing in warmer water into you indoor waterlines.

But unfortunately this can become a problem if the temperatures drop really, really low or if you do not use your water (such as being away from your unheated home for several days).

News claims its 22 degrees outside ..pretty sure it is actually colder, ( i think) ..
Yes it seems I should have learned all these cold weather home tips..but as sure as the seasons change, my memory
for season to season..lasts exactly 1 season . So this thread is very much appreciated ...! 8O .
And if you haven't hired a plumber recently, You better have deep pockets ! And last guy fixxed one thing . But wanted more to actually finish the job. Was like , they made it functional , but wanted more to actually fix the issue. So it would not happen again. 8O  :skull: .....

Yes indeed in the areas, you better have a winter change of clothing . currently at 17 degrees F ..is a serious freeze.
In reality in this weather, if your outside more than a few minutes, like 1-2 ...you better ve wearing gloves/ mittens and several thick layers of clothing .And a face mask . Best boots you can find ,with fat fuzzy socks .....Am not just saying this ..People lose limbs to frostbite here. And if you perseverate in the cold, without attention to your warmth ..You best
find goid ways to maintain your body temerature . 17 degrees F is 15 DEGREES BELOW freezing in fahrenheit.
Makes me wonder how anything just does not become brittle and break . ? 8O (More coffee please).
