And I am working that day so I can't hand out any to the kids.

Halloween would probably be like my favorite holiday if I could walk around more, after covering a few blocks I am in such intense blinding pain that I have to come home. Last year I spent all of October working on my costume, but I got it perfect this year. I'm some kinda dead monk guy or something, it looks kickass.

Thank you!! ! I was thinking, I joined this forum to NOT be the "weird" one for a change LOL.
This year at our essentially-required work Halloween dress-up day, I'm going as Olfactory Assault (our corporate-supply ubiquitous can of apple-scented air "freshener")- the scariest thing I can think of! It almost killed this asthmatic/scentsensitive Aspie once.

I hate Halloween. Overcommercialised. It's just a day everyone wants to be gothic for a day. People like me who are in the gothic subculture don't need a holiday like that to do whatever we like, but it can be annoying to see gothic items and fashion being overcommercialised for a day.

I love Halloween. I love all holidays actually. If I had my way in October alone there would be Guy Fawkes Day, All Souls Day, All Hallows Eve, Halloween, Feast Of The Hungry Ghosts and The Day Of The Dead.

There are some aspects of Halloween I don't like. I don't like it when big kids from outside my hometown come to the door. I am very short (5'1") and some of these kids are close to six feet tall. It's scary.

I also don't like the abuse of animals, especially cats, that goes on at Halloween.

As a pagan, Halloween is a special time of the year, we call it 'Samhain' or 'All Hallows Eve' and it is generally the end of summer festival when all the crops are harvested.
Large bonfires would be lit and people dressed as evil spirits by the fire to ward the evil away. Children where given sweets as a reward to helping with the harvest.

The holiday has evolved to today's Halloween, I love to give out treats, this year my rats will be on my shoulder as I give out the sweet, I wonder how many people I will freak out. ^_^

Halloween so rules, you can dress like a total freak and no-one can say anything. This is especially good if you have an inexplicable urge to walk around in a purple witches hat.

I like Halloween, but will very likely have a lot of studying to do.
