yesterday i went for a walk to the centre in newtown to get posters for the kid that called the queer lib group i'm in and while i was there i decided to look through the badges just in case there was a deport the liberals not refugees one and there was! we stopped making them when labour came into power is assume. i didn't think there would be any left. and i found really old same sex marriage posters, a refugee poster from the ALP conference and in the free crap box i got a banner for "students against racism for src" to hang on my wall and a troops out of iraq badge. i also looked at our magazine archives. we had almost an entire magazine on the lebanon-israel war in 2006. it's funny seeing how much the mag has changed.

the next palestine rally page was created last night and has 273 attendees so far. i hope this translates to people on the ground, not just facebook. the mosques were to advertise them at prayers today. also got my passport today and while my picture sucks, it is not as bad as the snaps i took in the post office. the best i can say of those pictures.

yesterday i went to sydney, and on my way back when i was going through "blaxland", i got a "quarter pounder with no pickles or onions" (both superfluous in my opinion, and my prerequisites ensured that i got a freshly cooked quarter pounder).

today i felt like another burger, but i will be damned if i will drive 40 km to the mcdonalds in blaxland, and i suddenly wondered if takeaway shop hamburgers might taste better with tomato sauce instead of barbecue sauce, so i ordered a hamburger with (soft) egg and cheese with a few extra grilled onions etc and i ordered that the sauce be tomato sauce.

i did not like the burger much and i ate only half of it, and i am glad of that because if i had enjoyed the burger, then i would have had much more to type about how it made me happy, but thankfully it did not taste that good to make make me happy enough to write about, so i am glad that i do not have to spend any time describing any fantastic experiences i had.

and that is what made me happy today.

I don't have a lead role in the Dracula play my friend is putting on.

Don't get me wrong, my acting is decent, it's just that I liked the guy characters more than the girl ones. :P

Condensed version: Someone new I just met appeared to find me interesting to talk to... and other stuff.

Normal version:

I went into town today which I don't get to do more than once or twice a month currently. My mother had a training thing for a job to attend to in town, so I went with, and she dropped me off at a music store while she did her thing. I ended up selling a couple things I wanted to get rid of and didn't feel cheated so that made me happy. Then I asked their guitar tech for an estimate on work I need done to my Gibson Les Paul... which it was a new guy and he was quite friendly and informative to talk to, so that was good. The old tech was a total jerk face who I didn't like at all, so never felt comfortable doing much more than saying what I needed done and paying him to do it... so the new guy was much more pleasant to speak to.

I realized I had done everything I had gone there to do and my mother wouldn't be done with her training thing for about an hour and a half, so I started wandering and getting bored.

I shortly after wandering for a few minutes, for some reason decided to step about a mile out of my comfort zone and went back to strike conversation with the guitar tech, and we talked for about an hour about music, guitar specs, guitar types, and repair work... when I asked him early into the conversation if me speaking to him was going to get him in trouble, he said not to worry about it as, as long as he was working as he was while we spoke, management didn't care if he was speaking to customers. That is when I sensed he found speaking to me to be entertaining, as I found him to be, so I suspect that sentiment was mutual... since he could have shooed me off by saying it could get him in trouble. He referred me to some interesting bands to listen to, gave me advice to save money on the work I wanted done by advising me to stick with my stock pickups when I expressed wanting to change them out for ceramics, despite it effecting what I'll have to pay him later by about $90, and the strange feeling that I did something I'd normally never be comfortable doing made me happy >_>
