Random rant topic

I wish municipal works would hurry up and turn back on the water. It has been off for repairs since 9 o'clock this morning. It is now 4 o'clock in the afternoon. I called the Works Department and it will still be another 2-3 hours.

I just heard on the news that the LA fire is big enough to fit the entire city of Chicago inside! 8O

Rant Works topic

Indeed, it does. 30 minutes after I wrote this rant/complaint the water resumed its flow.

I will never have to step into it twice!!

I realised about half an hour ago that for the first time in years (since I was 13) (that I can remember) I've been able to know unequivocally that I don't want to kill myself, I just want some of the stress to go away. It made me cry when I realised, and I'm not sure whether that was relief at (I don't know how to word this; however I say it it's not going to come out right) the knowledge that (apart from a few beautiful my-dreams-have-come-true moments of joy) what seems like evidence that emotionally, I'm the most "ok" I've been in forever, or whether it was the release of years of built-up pain, or whether it's just sleep deprivation (late to bed and early to rise, makes Rachel tired and overwrought and prone to overreactions. "Good morning" might have had the same effect on me).
I'm not sure that this doesn't belong in the Confessions thread, or (no. It's not "I-need-emotional-support-or-help-with-no-criticism" enough for the Haven), and I'm not sure if I'll post it or just close this window and keep reading without posting because I can never find exactly the right words for what I want to say.

*hits "submit" before I can overanalyse my words and change my mind*
