My apartment is looking tidier with each little chore that I do. I don't have many things on my floor. It's the surface tops that I'm tackling right now. :)

Those Parker Brother 'condensed' card game versions of popular board games are pretty darn fun. :D

talking with my littlest sister. i told her about a couple of the creepy dudes that have come up to me and it made her laugh. they are pretty ridiculous. "my hormones reacted to your femalility". heheheh. her favourite.
also on the way to see her i bumped into somebody from youthgroup i hadn't seen in a long while. he was one of the first people i met there and he now lives 2 or 3 streets away from me. he hugged me. it was good talking to him and he offered to teach me to ride a bike which is cool and i really want to know how and he also gets why moving out is so good. he is gay and lived out in the country so he gets why being away from all that is important. both of us think redfern is really safe in terms of levels of homophobia. as in he has walked around with fairy wings and not been harrassed. and he hasn't gotten over the racial diversity here. i get that 'cause neither have i. he is a sweet guy.

i was on the phone to my friend "tammy" tonight (for the third time today), and she was lamenting that she could not find the cupboard in which she stowed the $100 christmas tree she bought last year. tammy is a simple thinker and i find it very cute.

she was quite angry all day because she thought that someone must have broken in to her house (where her mother and father also live) and stole her packed up christmas tree from her wardrobe. i said that it would be very unlikely that someone would break and enter a home simply to steal a christmas tree, and ignore any other items.

but she persisted in her worried demeanor to tell me that her stored christmas tree was truly stolen.

i then found the situation reasonably humerus, and i said:

me: you should ring the police and say that you have a strong suspicion that a bauble on a christmas tree that was in your house last year was full of cocaine, and then comply with their applications for a search warrant , and when they search your house from top to bottom and finally find the lost christmas tree, and also find no drug residue associated with it, then you can tell them to f*ck off and try to sue them for frivolous investigation and loss of freedom etc whilst decorating your newly found christmas tree"

she was laughing so hard that she asked me to slow down to let her breathe, and it made me feel happy that i made her happy and i helped her forget the christmas tree dilemma by postulating an absurd reply.
i am glad i know tammy.

I did better on my government midterm than I expected. I guessed on half the questions, but still managed to nail a B.

i got my hair cut. it is above my shoulders now. my split ends had split ends and it was getting more than i could handle so this is good. i love how soft it feels right after i get it cut. the hair dresser said i had lots of hair(repeatedly) and it made me feel better because i am paranoid about going bald.

at youthgroup i also got taught how to crochet a little by one of the workers. other kids also got in on it. it's really fun and i like learning from other people. i should go to salvos and get needles. she offered to print tutorials for me which was nice of her but i dont know if she did 'cause i had to go. she also found out i am only living on centrelink and was like "SH!T!" and said when i got to those times when i had to decide between bills and food i could get food from them. she also said that when i was in lebanon i was to email them every 2 weeks so they know i am ok and s**t hasn't gone down. they got my back.

and HELEM(queer lib group in lebanon) finally got back to me and they still do stuff!! yaaaay! i can't wait to go! they have meetings on thursday and cultural club stuff on wednesday. they didn't answer my question about places to go if i'm outed but i'll deal with it if it happens.

Not too much made me happy today and I am unfortunately rather cranky. One thing that made me happy today was reading everyone's posts here and they cheered me up 8)
