I've just finished reading "Lalka" online (or at least the most interesting fragments of this book). Lalka is one of the most famous Polish novels and all students of high schools in my country have to read it. Lalka means literally doll. :)

I am working out data from my life to add to my posts as I go from 1971 to 2007. I thought it would be a fun way to pass 2,000 posts.

This is post 1999.

Two very big things happened in 1999. First, my daughter was born. This changed my life forever. I always wanted kids, so this was a lifelong dream coming true. Second, a 16-year wait for the Star Wars Saga to continue finally ended with the release of:

The Miami Hurricanes won their third College World Series Title. Pedro comes in from the bullpen to pitch perfect and lead the Red Sox to the 0-2 comeback against the Indians to win the series 3-2 and head to the ALCS. I went to Games 3 & 4 of the ALCS in Fenway Park. Game 3 was the Pedro 13-1 win over Clemens and the Yankees. The after party was the biggest Red Sox celebration I had ever been a part of up until that time. Unfortunately, having blown chances in Games 1 & 2 in New York, the tough loss in Game 4 sealed their fate and they lost the series in five.

Music from 1999:
Beastie Boys "The Sounds Of Science" - Finally some old stuff that was never released on cassette or CD, like 'She's On It'
Beck "Midnite Vultures"
Dropkick Murphys "The Gang's All Here"
Foo Fighters "There Is Nothing Left To Lose"
Guster "Lost And Gone Forever" - Finally signed and have some financial backing to spread their great sound.
Nerf Herder "How To Meet Girls"
Nine Inch Nails "The Fragile"
Rage Against The Machine "The Battle Of Los Angeles"
Red Hot Chili Peppers "Californication"

I'm reading an article about a man who was arrested because it turned out that he buried his friend in a forrest when said friend was killed in an accident because it was that man who was the driver in that time and was afraid he'd bear criminal responsibility.
