The monolith of a moron metastasized until it burst without merit, the hulking shadow of a hill that bled hollow sympathy via a symphony of trees in contaminated bloom ran me over, my body was churned inside the cold belly of a whining lawnmower. The undertaker came traipsing down the grass-glazed slope-a-dopey, wearing a scuba masky-wasky, his mother never approved but he didn't realize she saw him swimming in the lagoon that wrapped around the eyebrows and tussled with the tepid teabags they threw in the street because the bin got full too quickly and the binmen were on permanent strike. She didn't agree with the monolith's opinion and he tripped because the curse had no beginning, he fell on my ribs, they were never there for me when it mattered most. We exchanged number plates and now I have a model of a skeleton to put on the mantelpiece and no more swans pecking at my eloquently evolving elbow.
