Barnes & Noble's twice-yearly Criterion Collection half-off sale is in effect. I ordered:

* Throne of Blood (1957) Blu-ray/DVD

* The Bad Sleep Well (1960) DVD

* Macbeth (1971) Blu-ray

$55. Would have been $110 at full price. :P

Just recently received two different Japanese versions of the Yu-Gi-Oh card Dark Magician from ebay, an alternate art version and the special red Dark Magician that was only released in a Japanese Premium Pack and was featured in an episode of the original series. Very happy to add that one to my collection and I even got extra cards which I was not expecting! :D

A new Cabbage Patch Kid with glow-in-the-dark PJ's. I chose a doll with dark skin because my other two CPKs are white and I wanted some diversity. :)

^ There are plenty of people in our Parliament who'd be only too happy to switch our system to an American model, if we're stupid enough to allow them.

I thought Obama pledged to provide a more socialized, single-payer system in the US. Did he bottle it?
