don't you let them!

the GOP and their minions bottled it. from them there was tremendous push-back. what we have is the best our dysfunctional political system can do.

I currently have a minor obsession with modernized Shakespeare film adaptations, and I just ordered:

Macbeth (2006) w/ Sam Worthington & Lachy Hulme (DVD)
Hamlet (2009) w/ David Tennant & Patrick Stewart (Blu-ray)
Macbeth (2010) w/ Patrick Stewart & nobody else I've ever heard of (DVD)

Also ordered a double-feature DVD with a couple of Vincent Price movies, as if I don't already have enough of them in my collection:

Theatre of Blood (1973)
From a Whisper to a Scream (1987)

All this because I needed a new pair of dishwashing gloves, which are only $10. You start adding stuff to the cart to get free shipping and one thing leads to another. Mah.

Battery charge too low to operate the flash mechanism after just four or five uses,

Not a "defect" as such apparently, just normal according to the reviews.

The batteries are actually three "long-life" alkaline ones as well!

I don't get much more than that with my Fuji finepix [granted it's prehistoric 1999 model].

I bought some cheese to eat with the bread I'd bought earlier. The bread wasn't for me but for ducks at Bitter Lake. A woman with two loose dogs arrived and told me to stop feeding the ducks because they poop too much and it attracts rats.

I think feeding birds is a nice thing and relaxing.
