Vindication, at last!

What I warned you about 6 years ago has finally come true, and only because you refused to act on my warnings.

If you (verbally) attack, I will defend. It doesn’t matter if it’s passive-aggressive or aggressive. A childish tantrum or a ploy for sympathy.

I see Punishment and Danger, and I don’t care about Feelings and Insecurity. I disengage emotionally to protect myself against Punishment and Danger so that my own Feelings and Insecurity aren't harmed. This is natural and reasonable.

You will never get validation or comfort after you’ve attempted to wound or provoke me. Talking to me as if I'm an unsympathetic monster for baring my teeth after you've been rattling my bars will not change this.

I don't have anyone in my life, and thank F(riar T)uck for that. Nor do I have anything to say to anyone. Why is it then that I still feel the urge to communicate with people? I hate people.

This bothers me a lot. Why is it so hard to be completely self-sufficient?

Take a look back and think about who really acted more like the parent. Don't ask your friends because they will only tell you what you want to hear, think for yourself.

Now the project is delayed, and the customer is asking why you are still on the project.

If it doesn't suck to be you yet, it will soon ... very, very soon ...

So why do you bother call me and tell me that I want to see you and then the next minute you just don't give a damn, don't you see why I don't care to bother anymore. And every time you need me, it always has to be when I'm really busy. This is really aaaaaaragh!

This is so very very petty. I finally find a kind and generous and all-around terrific guy who isn't already taken and who laughs at my jokes and makes me laugh in return, but he also has a mother a lot like mine. I've spent the last 20 years distancing myself from my own mentally ill mother who makes me feel bad all the time, but of course I tell him that his mentally ill mother can't live in the petrie dish of a home she's created for herself (she has so many mice she'll end up with hantavirus or plague, this is not hyperbole it's an infestation). So now we all live together until she can get the hoarding and then the mice under control. Except 6 months into it and most of the time I'm yelling at her in my head "Go home old woman!! !".

Because nothing makes her happy and because she "doesn't understand" everything from tupperware to cell phones to the power button on the TV remote and furthermore has no wish to learn. The woman raised 5 kids, how can she not understand tupperware?! !!? Every handle in the house is coated in lotion because she just can't get enough of the stuff and she hoards candy like they're going to stop making it. Stop eating moldy food you crazy old bat!! Eating rotten things doesn't make you frugal it makes you sick!
She has a bedroom here that she's packed with so much stuff and made such a mess of that she only wants to hang out in the living room. But even there she's creating a heap of cr@p around her chair that we're constantly beating back. It's not like I'm a neat freak, I just like cleared surfaces or at least symmetry but this place is turning into heaps of knitting and plants and plastic bags full of stupid things that no one needs and newspaper clippings and wads of tissue and grrrraaaaaahhhhhhhh!! !! !! !!

I've stayed home sick a couple of times in those six months and each time she's asked me suspiciously whether I told my boyfriend that I was going to be home all day. Like I have to ask his permission to be in the house without him. Lady, I live here now. I cook you dinner almost every night and you either complain because there's too much salt or too much salad or because I didn't make dinner and you had to eat one of your nasty Lean Cuisines. Make up your mind!!

This is all my fault. If I hadn't encouraged him to tell her she could live here, he wouldn't have asked her. Of course then she would have died from some disgusting filth-related contagion and I would have to bear the guilt of that. So...
