Dammit....now it seems like a fun word to say. See this is just like the dump trucks that have written on the back hatch "DO NOT PUSH." It never would have occurred to me to push it, but now I kind of want to.

it is a political reference, the GOP are still mad at the Dems for torpedoing the nomination to SCOTUS of extreme right-winger Robert Bork. so in political circles, to "bork" somebody is to torpedo their nomination to some government office somehow.

he was also a detective novelist, whose recurring protagonist in his series of quasi-pulp detective novels, was a man named "dick dork." I am not making this up. google it.
