I'm nicer since I found out about sensory overload - I don't blame it on other people any more.

I'm getting implants. Dental implants, that is, not breast implants. After that I will be getting crowns where my two front teeth are.

Speaking of teeth, I started 2009 with a full set of teeth. But by this time next week I will be missing 5! :x I'm already missing one so my braces will move my teeth but I'm getting all of my wisdom teeth removed.

One of my best memories is having all four wisdom teeth pulled. I was about your age.

Impacted it sounds like?

It was the first time I was "put under". Awesome!! ! My mom babied me while I watched movies for two days, on the couch, whacked out on vicodin. Maybe it was because I was in my 20's and life sucked - but it was like a vacation!

But don't do what I did! In classic slacker fashion, I stopped taken my antibiotics and ended up with a hugely, gnarly infection. I've heard a lot of people with similar stories. It hurts like a mutha AND it's gross as hell. You have to stick cloves in the holes. (They still make you do this - to this day).

So - take your antibiotics! :shameonyou:

Watch out for those Vicodin. I used to eat a whole script(30) just to get my day going, at one point in my life.

I only got one wisdom tooth, on my top left, and the other ones never came in. It does feel like there is one buried on my bottom left though, like it never came through.

This will be the 5th time going under for me. Wow, I've had a lot of surgeries in 25 years! 8O

Oh they've got some antibiotics for me. I don't see how I will get them in my mouth though. :?

Wow I wish I was put under when they did mine! I also hear that nitrous oxide is really fun. I didn't get any of that :(

None of mine ever broke the surface fully. I think one of them was out just a little bit. The others were completely under and they had to cut open my gums and stich 'em up when they were done. Most of it was not too bad and vicodin is great for pain. But one of my teeth was horrible and refused to come out. They actually had to shatter it and pull out all the pieces. Took them like.. an hour and a half of drilling? That one hurt a lot and my face swelled up to a rediculous size on that side. They didn't get all the pieces either and a couple of slivers surfaced a couple of months later.

Random fact about me, moi, numbero uno...(Just want to make sure we stay on thread - but we can keep talking about dental nightmares. Its very cathartic and kind of scary!)

I have a visceral fear of going to the dentist and until last year - I hadn't been to the dentist in about 7 years. I have super sensitive teeth and its like torture going to the dentist. For real. Even after they stop, my teeth ache for a few days. The first time after not going for all that time - I kind of went psycho on painkillers washed down with wine. I was a mess. It hurt so much and I was soooooo cranky and mean. I am NEVER like that! I am usually a sweet, cooperative, appreciative patient, and never a baby.

Ironically, I have no cavities and nice teeth. I brush my teeth a lot because it makes my teeth feel good - so I'm sure that helps.

Awww c'mon that doesn't sound so bad

Why is that everyone seems to not like their middle name? In school we used to tease everyone with their middle names. Coz I never have one they gave me one.
