Willing to come all the way to California? I promise it's not as bad as you think.

Well I'm not sure it wouldn't be so bad unless you live in the Orange Curtain.

Actually perhaps it would be , I've just come back from Sydney * and it's just how I imagined overpriced , overrated with plenty of fake , fake tans, fake breasts, fake people if it where a city it would be Paris Hilton which is how I would imagine much of California to be ?

I guess it' s not all bad it is one of the most vegan friendly areas in America perhaps even the world! .

Actually that would be kind of fun just rocking up to a members house in a far away place , but don't worry I'm not a user I'd return the favour, though you'd have to sleep on the couch.

* after you've seen the Opera House and the Bridge what else is their to do ? (which aren't that attractive anyways? Bondi ? why would I go their when I have the worlds best beaches on my door step ?

Aww.

I don't see the point in meeting people in person when I communicate 1000% better in writing. I mean, I'm sure you're all great people, but

I've met a couple of WPers IRL - the really cool thing about doing it is you can "Aspie out" all you want without feeling the least bit uncomfortable - that's a really interesting/refreshing feeling - everyone should try it sometime...

aspie out is fun :D though why would you want to do do it in front of strangers when you can have just as much fun dong it alone ?

I've only been to one so I'm not an expert on the matter .

 You thought way too hard about this.

FTR, I've lived in California my entire life and have met only one celebrity... Mr Young from some football team. In church on a sunday. haha

Seriously though, I'm in Silicon Valley. I'm very close to loads of beaches *and* beautiful mountains. And yes, it's rather Vegan friendly around these parts.

I wont have a bar of it.

I'm not sure if it's most people here who are in awe of *good looking* and/or high educated/successful members, but yeah, I believe that plenty are.

Since I consider myself a "hard" determinist....I would find such awe pretty illogical. The individual CERTAINLY has little or no control over their physical appearance aside from whatever they may do to MAINTAIN the appearance nature bestowed upon them. Still....wouldn't nature/nurture DETERMINE whether or not an individual does anything TO MAINTAIN their appearance??? The same goes for highly educated and "successful" people in my opinion. Humans simply are what they are via genetics, epigenetics, neurobiology and environment. Thus....whatever pride/shame an individual feels for themselves and/or others is just irrational and largely based on dubious notion of "free will".

+ 1

this is the sort of stuff they should be teaching in schools

Surprisingly, no. There are quite a few here, obviously, but I'm actually surrounded by morons. :?

Now I know why Hyperlexian has been all over my posts in other threads. There was me thinking she was some general vigilante.

Chrissyrun, as I'd love to continue our conversation. :P

And I'd love to try cooking her a vegetarian dish.

With that, I truly take my leave, goodnight all!

Haha, no. I was just confused with your statement.

I'm out of it! I was thinking about the conversation, and didn't pay attention to the thread.

Anyways, about a couple hours later I remembered the name of this thread and felt like the biggest dork in the world, hahahaha,
