I thought you might say that too, or that other word you use to say hello to people.

You mean "Salutations"?

Ah. Maybe I should try just "Hello" for once, huh?

Yes I did mean that

And no, the way you say hello is what gives you a personality and makes you who you are.

"salutations" is cooler, I don't see many others around here say it, so I guess it's your hello identifier? :D

Alright then, I'll use that.

Salutations, Coke!

I wonder how many different ways one can say "hello" in English.

I'll see what I can come up with....

Welcome, Sempiternal, to the place where those of which believe they have been placed on the wrong planet, come in mass numbers to gather vital information about themselves(and others with similar conditions) and communicate!...as scary as that can be for some, we seem to be okay with it as long as it doesn't involve looking at each other or talking!

...I think they call that the Long but Odd Introduction hello :lmao:

I remember I used to say "hi" all the time, and my friends told me it sounded gay and should use "what's up" instead. Or how I'd use some sort of gesture similar to swearing (leaving my hand still at one side and then back down). Took me a while to change them both~ And then I learn I should greet men and women differently, and change my behaviour accordingly. And I was already 15 by then!

Do you guys have or had a particular way to greet someone, different than the norm? :D

Oh, and greetings everyone!

I think I was talking about phrases and words such as "what's up", "greetings", and "hello", but I guess that works too!

@Shatbat: It's not too out of the norm for my culture, but I usually bow to greet adults (who are of my race/ethnicity). I tried bowing to classmates who are also of my race/ethnicity. They think it looks strange even though they do it to adults too.
Whenever I say, "Top of the morning to you!" in real life, people also find it a strange greeting.
