My view from where I'm lying on the grass in Hyde Park right now:

I live near a village known as New Hyde Park. I can walk there from my house.

How's the Sydneyside weather?

Hi Kraftie.

Not too bad today. It's a bit hot in the sun but I'm in the shade at the moment and there's a lovely breeze.

Sounds like you're getting the sea breeze. Temperature around 22 Celsius?

We're supposed to be going up to about 20 Celsius this Wednesday.

Supposed to be 27 Celsius but it doesn't feel all that hot. 20's a good temp

I know in a few Australian cities, there's something called the "doctor" or something. It's supposed to be a refreshing sea breeze.

I remember, growing up, how much of a big deal the America's Cup was....and how often Australia used to win it.

If it had come out upside down, it would have made for an excellent Australia joke from your friends in the Northern Hemisphere  .

I feel like people do not appreciate how many different types of bread there are in the world. I mean, we got flatbread, cornbread, ciabatta, and other such bread. It's just amazing how many different things can be made with similar ingredients.

The UK has much better bread in the US, for about one-third to one-half the cost.

Their gas/petrol, however, costs about three times as much.

I don't understand why bread costs as much as it typically does anyway, considering how quickly (and easily) it goes bad. Not to mention the number of ways you can accidently ruin it, like cutting it wrong or trying to toast it and instead ending up with a block of charcoal.

I agree. When I was a kid, I used to pay 39 cents for Wonder Bread. Now it's at least 2 bucks for a decent loaf of bread. I pay $3.35 for a loaf of my favorite potato bread.

In England, you can get a very decent loaf of bread for about 75 Pence ($1.25).

Few differences makes it that. Including how it was baked/cooked, how much ingredients in each, the order of the process and so on and so on...

Bread in general is one of my favorites. Too bad I didn't got a chance or time to learn how to make them. :(
