Coffee Stout

From Aldi's 'Specially Selected' line. About time they introduced a decent new product, just hope it'll be a permanent addition. This time last year they brought in a 'chocolate orange' beer, which was excellent, only to withdraw it within about three months.

Brewdog Cake Cartel

Described as a 'hazelnut stout'. Never thought I'd buy anything else from this 'craft beer' ripoff outfit again, but this was priced at a reasonable £1.15 (I think) for a 330ml can, and it's decent stuff. Very rich, dark drink with a strong taste of coffee.

^ Have you tried their 'Foreign Export' and 'West Indian Porter' versions?

I prefer to have a few (!) cans of the low strength version. The foreign export version is nice though. Not sure if I've tried the west indian porter.

Asda don't seem to do either.

I do prefer those higher strength versions.

Home Bargains have just increased the price of Foreign Export to £3.25 a bottle though, which I think is taking the you-know-what.
