What do you suppose you mean?

IOW when I got up this morning, I said "how odd!" in reference to my just-finished dream.

So your dream even stumped you! Mr. Dream interpreter. 8O

I've had some impenetrable doozies  like dreaming I was on a big mountain of lasagna picking lasagna leaves. :o

Wow, that's an odd one. :o I think that the fact that some dreams have stumped you is a reflection that you still don't ha e a full grasp of yourself. On a related note, I have never had food dreams! Like, ever. Weird. :|

I have more food dreams when i'm hungry.

What drugs are you smoking/taking?

i'm moderately clean-living, no prescription drugs. no illicit drugs/alky 99.99% of the time.

it can be fave foods or it could be the most bizarre things you never heard of. I dreamt one time that my sister served me scorched sea urchin and a variety of twigs and leaves on a paper plate.

Ive asked him that, or "what prescription meds are the docs giving you?" several times on these dream threads!

He always claims to not being on anything (either over, or under the counter).

The strangest part is the vivid pain. In my experience if there is physical pain in the story line of a dream its because I am experiencing real life pain at the moment (so the unconscious is weaving a story around the pain to keep me asleep). Dont see either how, or why, your head could generate actual pain like that for a dream.

Glen Miller operating on you?

In the Mood, Tuxedo Junction, Pennsylvania 6-5000.

The music super star of your's (and my) parents' pre rocknroll generation, who got lost while being flown across the English Channel during WWII.

What might Glenn Miller symbolize to you? Why would a musician be operating on you?

Blackened sea urchin?

Sounds like Japanese cuisine meets Cajun! Lol! Maybe a metaphor for your mixed background.
Dont know about the twigs and leaves.

Have only had one memorable food dream: was savoring a t-bone steak for what seemed like hours. Kept slicing it, and then reveling in its tast. When I awoke I realized that I still had the residue of the hamburger I had eaten the night before on my teeth because I hadnt brushed my teeth before bed, and then realized that the steak dream was a response to the beef taste that was still in my mouth.

I was at the top of the Empire State Building. Someone shot a baseball on the window and I shot it back down but it hit someone on the road so the ambulance had to come. In the end it was lucid but also kind of scary...

when the berlin wall fell, at that time some newspapers reported that found in the stasi files [the people ran riot through the secret police buildings searching for news about their loved ones], one bit of "intelligence" that was found, was that glenn miller's body was found in a French bordello, he had passed of a coronary or stroke in flagrante delicto. the lost plane was just a PR cover story, albeit a stubborn one. so I am guessing that sometimes the beautiful people, and/or useful people to oneself, even ones that may provide great entertainment, may often be unsavory beneath a thin veneer of civility. reminds me of that twain quote about "What a wee little part of a person’s life are his acts and his words! His real life is led in his head, and is known to none but himself."
and the pain is explainable in that I have had surgery before, minor and major, I remember what getting stitches felt like, UNGOOD!! :|

Wow! Never heard that story about the secret East German files on him.

PBS had a fascinating documentary (made after the fall of the Berlin Wall Im pretty sure) all about unraveling the mystery of what happened to the plane that he disappeared on. Step by step sleuthing. Dont think that they found the wreck, but it was quite convincing that his plane ventured too close to a designated zone of the English channel used by bombers returning to the UK bases to dump their unused bombs, and that the small plane he was on got flipped over by the shockwaves of exploding bombs from a returning squadron of heavy bombers, and crashed into the English Channel. Dont remember them mentioning that dirt in the East German files.

But it is believable that he might meet his maker in a French bordello. And its believable that the allies would cover it up for PR.

But back to the dream. I guess that must be the symbolism:what Glen Miller means to you. Glen Miller represents something in your life that you have deep ambivalence about; necessary, but unsavory.

I just woke up from a dream in which I was the White House Golf Pro.

In the dream, my job was to give golf lessons to the President and any White House visitors, if necessary, as well as to play whenever they needed another player to fill out a foursome.

It just goes to show the difference between a dream job and a job in a dream.

That sounds like it would be both if you're a golf enthusiast.

I can say for a fact that I have never dreamt about anything remotely relating to golf. or just about any other sport, for that matter. :|

and I don't exactly recall either, any "dream" job that wasn't more like a nightmare.
