I hope they will, too. I have instructions to go back next week if it's bothering me at all. :)

Well, I suppose it's one good thing which came out of having an infection!

Well, it's happening whether I like it or not, so I might as well be positive about it. (Even if I'm still very nervous about this appointment.)

Yes of course, I understand you must be nervous.
I'm afraid my anxiety over it has rather stopped me from going any further down the referral process, so I think it's good that you can manage to.

I had a bulletpoint list with me, having left my longer version for later, and let my mother do most of the talking. :)

Anxiety is most certainly a pest. How far down the referral process did you get?

Well I was seeing someone anyway but I only plucked up courage to mention it in the last meeting, whilst his response was that it might be possible is also led me to believe that he is certainly no expert on it! I think he has a very stereotypical view of it sadly.

I am not very assertive though and really with hindsight I should have pushed for a referral to someone more specialised at that point, I think there is some kind of AS Assessment Team in the county I am in but I don't know whether they are any good as I have read on WP some are not!
Ooh bit of a long message there! :P

I was just distracted! I do long posts quite frequently, I should learn to refrain, though I certainly don't have a problem with you making them. :D

The stereotypical views people hold are quite annoying. The difference in assessment teams is quite annoying.

It took my mother until I was six (a month before my seventh birthday) to get me diagnosed with a moderate hearing loss, even though that is something which can be tested for.

That is shocking your mum had such trouble getting your partial hearing loss diagnosed.

Hmm I know, I mean these people would only have to spend a few minutes on WP to realise that so many of the stereotypes are wrong! What century are we living in?!

Oh yeah sometimes I don't say much and other times probably too much. :P

Good morning or evening unto regardless of the timezone each of you lives in..
I'm doing better just need to have a nice peaceful sleep and some herbal tea as well.
I'm hoping everyone's day today is going well? mine? not bad just trying to make a final decision as to what cpu I will finally settle on purchasing for the computer system that I shall assemble sometime next year once my occupational state and finances have returned to a state of normalcy at least.

That sounds interesting, I wish you luck with it but I don't think I'd be able to assist!
