i came across 80's cardio/fitness videos. with that 80's blonde hairstyle women seemed sexy, happy and "ready". i bet the AIDS thing was scary as fk and everyone was very paranoid and too scared to have sex.

i remember in the 90's there was an educational filmstrip on tv about that disease and the music was very very very scary.

I love 1990s nostalgia, in addition to the 1980s.

The only nostalgia I need,

Doom 4 is awesome beyond words and brings so many memories of being a loser teen playing Doom, more then 10 years later and I am still a loser playing Doom. I have enjoyed Ultra Nightmare in Doom 4 and have got about half way before dying. Doom is one of the few games I have over 10 GBs worth of mods, ports and maps.

This year seems like it's gone fast, but also slow at the same time. I don't know how that works.

God I love my new Laptop, I have never had integrated graphics actually run this well. I remember with my last Laptop, you would be lucky to browse the net at a decent speed. My thinkpad is a speed demon in comparison, check it out, all this runs at 60 fps. Arch Linux is faster then Windows 7 in my personal benchmark but usually windows is faster then Linux for games, officially anyway. However, that has not been my experience, Minecraft shows fps, I didn't bother with the others but they are smooth. I didn't buy the laptop for gaming, however, its a nice touch. I can honestly say that integrated graphics suck much less then they did but they still aren't great. It ain't no Doom 4 but this laptop has a large library of games it can run fairly well.

To be GOVERNED is to be at every operation, at every transaction noted, registered, counted, taxed, stamped, measured, numbered, assessed, licensed, authorized, admonished, prevented, forbidden, reformed, corrected, punished. It is, under pretext of public utility, and in the name of the general interest, to be place under contribution, drilled, fleeced, exploited, monopolized, extorted from, squeezed, hoaxed, robbed; then, at the slightest resistance, the first word of complaint, to be repressed, fined, vilified, harassed, hunted down, abused, clubbed, disarmed, bound, choked, imprisoned, judged, condemned, shot, deported, sacrificed, sold, betrayed; and to crown all, mocked, ridiculed, derided, outraged, dishonored. That is government; that is its justice; that is its morality." -Pierre-Joseph Proudhon

Some random person I don't know asked me on steam to buy them the original Doom. Its $5 and on one hand, I believe in treating people well to the best of my ability which is evidently pretty low and I believe in the whole "do into others as others would do in to you" thing plus people have brought me things worth more. But on the flip side of that, I don't even know this dude and its kind of... odd to ask someone you don't know to buy stuff for them. I mean I am all for it if its necessity like food but its Doom. What do you guys think? Should I buy this stranger on steam Doom? Is it the nice thing to do or should I just never log in again and ignore this dude?

Normally I am in offline mode but I found myself online cause I am on a new install and steam logged me in.
