Why do people call it Faux News, when Faux is pronounced "fo"?

I have been reading the works of Sangharakshita on the night train, who is unintentionally hilarious and very wise.
He also has that kind of sweetness one tends to find in worthwhile spiritual teachers and classical scientists.

The weather for this Halloween was pretty crappy. Yes I'm too old to go trick or treating. So I tag along with my little cousins. Mostly because I like all the decorations and setups. And candy.

Either the majority of people mispronounce it and the erroneous form took root (in a sense much like how people constantly say "could care less" when it should be "couldn't care less), or someone trying to be witty just tried forcing it to fit by going off the mispronounciation and everyone thought it humorous despite the fact that they know the use is incorrect.

Hm? Here they say Fox. Did you know that faux means "fake" in French? That's not exactly the best name for a news channel. XD

Haha, for me quite the opposite. I was fully focused on the coming of the time switch. This because I didn't change the my time to the formal time switch about a half year ago. That's right, for a half year the clock in my studio was offset by -1. :D Now, I got to get used to not adding an hour when reading the time.

THAT'S BIZARRE! You should try converting my time to yours - let alone being an hour out!

When I was in the supermarket today a lady showed me an easy way to tear the plastic bag that you put the vegies in off.

Well the word "faux" is spelled similarly to "fox", and Fox News is known for being incredibly biased and sensationalist. Therefore, people have taken to calling it "Faux News", since it's a load of crap! :P

That is not that surprising to me as, Fox News is nothing more than the propaganda arm of the Republican Party and nothing more, simply throwing tons of misinformation to confuse and hypnotize people with invalidated pieces of fiction
