I am doing this up right 
I am pretty modest compared to what I had but I would like a good trade off of cool mods vs brokenness. My 150 mod setup in the original was cool but very broken

I guess this is not much interesting to read for most people, but I feel a little less lonely when I share it with "someone"
I'm thinking about buying this machine: 
... and use it to sand the door frames and the door steps. There are quite thick paint on the door frames, and it hasn't been painted nicely. There is also quite a few cuts and scrapes from the use over the years. I will have to have some new paint on at the end. The door steps will be varnished. This is probably a BIG job, as it's three door frames/steps in the aparment. But if I end up only doing the door steps, I think it's still worth it.
