Cats are the first special interest I can remember. <3
Like others, I used to wonder if I was part cat, but then I learned the term "parallel evolution". ;)

I'm not sure what to do about my cat-affinity now; we can't afford additional cats, and the one we have belongs to my sister, which he reminds us of at every opportunity. :(

My cat is angry with me.

Bad big Mama has dared to steal her new exciting toy she just found. Poor cat wasnt even allowed to take a little bite to see if its tasty.

And then evil big mum allowed the toy to use HER catcarrier! :shameonyou:

So what do you learn from it? If your human-mum is so maudlin, that she took you from the shelter, better bring no cute, adorable, little baby-ducklings at home.

(Sat there waiting at the veterinary, didnt know what to do with the little duckling in a house with two cats and a bunch of cats around the neighborhood (And an cherrystone microwave heat pillow instead of an head lamp and an faketupperware footbath...) and additional everywhere in the internet stood that if you raise ducklings without siblings or other ducks, the duck wont know that she is a duck and become a duck-dog, following you everywhere. O_o Person opposite of me: "Oh, thats a cute baby wild-duck. *I didnt even know what kind of duck it was.* How much do you have?" - "One, the cat brought it." - "... Oh, do you want to keep it? I have some run-ducks my own, and also have already nursed some baby ducks as well. I could keep it, if you like?" :hail: )

I'm not saying this thread is old, but here is how the cat in the first post of the thread looks now  :

The thread dates back to 2004. It died again in 2008 and was exhumed again in May 2013 by Glow.

Cats rock! I have two of them - Ms. Katzenjammer Kitzen, Katzen for short. She is a large tortie girl, three years old now. Marco Polo is an orange tabby - he's just over a year old. They make life fun and enjoyable. I love watching them play together and playing with them.

I have been obsessed with cats for as long as I can remember. When I was a baby, we had a cat who would run and get my mother and bring her to me when I cried (which wasn't very often; I was an unusually quiet baby!).

I also have a tortie and a ginger cat -- they're sisters. :)

Ooh an orange girl! They're rarer than males. I've read a very interesting book on the genetics behind cat coat colors called Cats Are Not Peas.

One of my tics is blurting out "meow" really loudly and there's a cat that begs my grandparents for food. I rub his belly and pet him whenever. They're great!

Cats can be so much more understanding than people.

Unless the cat is in a bad mood.

Which we probably do not want to talk about.
