Which English city was European Capital of Culture back in 2008? What it London now?
Do you wish to hear what I personally think of London?

Didn't your application consist of "we made the Beatles and we like football"?

I always like reading rants.

Come back and say that again after you studied the 804 year history of my city then!

You're probably right, and to be honest I don't think I'd want wales to be completely independent as we don't have the money to do it. Although it is pretty cool that we get free prescriptions and England don't.

You're talking to the wrong person with that talk - I'm an integrationist Unionist. ;)

Go for it. I doubt you'd say anything I wouldn't agree with.

Firstly, my place of residence was settled in 871 at the latest (1000 years before we founded our football team), and received town status 925 years ago, so really that isn't going to impress me.

I am sorry that I forgot Gerry and the Pacemakers, but I thought it was obvious that I was joking...

Actually, Liverpool has a pretty damn fine history when it comes to music. Some of my favourite bands hail from Merseyside:
Flock of Seagulls
The La's
The Teardrop Explodes
Echo and the Bunnymen
Frankie goes to Hollywood
Dead or Alive.
Big in Japan
China Crisis
The Zutons

Not to mention Cilla Black and Sonia. :P

No, but my local football team is currently in one of the best spells in its history, including this and this. On the other hand...

P.S. Sorry if I gave you Brynjar Gunnarsson-related nightmares

I meet the former drummer of Flock of Seagulls twice, he's a mate of my best mate.
Funny I was on the phone to my best mate today about the René Magritte exhibition at the Tate :?

My city has pretty damn fine history about everything :P
