I'm not likely to be around much longer. As before when I first signed up here years ago, I'm finding that after a long hiatus, and after only a few days back on here, I'm spending way too much time here again already. So I'm requesting my account be locked, banned or whatever. It's just time. Until then, well, I dunno...

55. I was in first grade when JFK was shot and I remember that day because we were let out of school. When I got home (kids walked home from school in those days) all of the mothers were outside talking and crying.

I think older aspies are different because nobody knew what Aspergers was when we were children. My parents are both gone now and I wonder what they thought was wrong with me. My father had it too. I wonder what he thought was wrong with him.

I was born 8 months before Apollo 11, and got to see the launch from an uncle's house in Florida. Or, so I am told.


I'm 3 months older, and unfortunately, my parents tell me they placed me in my crib while they went to the living room to watch the moon landing on TV... (no way I would have been able to see the launch from another hemisphere :wink: )

good question, probably what i thought was wrong with me before i heard about AS. btw, back in the 60s what was the common epithet directed towards people like us?
