I don't get how, just because I don't especially like animals, that makes me a bad person. Animals are okay but I prefer helping people. If I give money to charity, it goes to charities helping starving children or homeless people or bereaved children. Not animal charities. I'm actually pretty shocked how much money animal charities get as opposed to human charities.

But apparently this makes me a horrible person because I'm not an animal lover but prefer helping people. I've been told this many times point blank. WTF.

My theory on this is that us hew-mons are driving animals towards extinction due to things like overpopulation, destroying the environment & animal habitats, global warming, & hunting animals for sport. Animals would be a lot better off if hew-mons were not on this planet. However us hew-mons need animals to survive. If we f#ck things up bad enough that we wipe out all animal species, we'll also end up wiping out our own. Helping animals helps our own species in the long run.

Generally speaking people who care about helping others also tend to think it's important to protect animals & the environment even if helping others is a higher priority for them. Animal lovers who are attacking & blaming others for helping people 1st end up alienating potential allies.

There are ways we can help people that will also help animals. Funding things like clean energy projects, recycling programs, & environmental conservation will provide people with jobs while also helping to protect the environment for humans & animals alike. This should NOT be us vs them bull$hit :x

It doesn't make you a bad person at all.

However, I'm rather passionate about animal rights and I feel animals deserve more rights than we give them.
But if I want to donate to charity, I would just go for the first charity that comes along, whichever one it is, because all charities are equally as valuable.

But I do want to stand up against killing wild animals even if they are pests. It's because I own pet rats, and once you have owned rodents as pets you suddenly become sensitive to wild rodents being killed inhumanely.

People who workout to attract a partner.

Ain't nothing attractive about a guy who works out to attract women. What's attractive is if they workout for the health benefits, and it's a hobby or part of their lifestyle.

I don't get that either...when people exercise to attract a partner. It confuses me on a couple of levels. First, I wonder like, how do they focus on some random abstract idea of what they might get while seeming to ignore the very real actual benefits from doing so. For me, I sleep better, eat better, have more energy, all kinds of perks when I'm on top of my workout game. I know it's not just a me thing either. I've yet to meet someone who exercises and feels worse off physically and mentally. They might exist, but I'm betting they're in the minority.

Then I get confused to, like who wants to attract someone who will only like you if you exercise? Seems like putting the focus on how you look v/s who you are. Who wants a shallow partner? I think that sounds awful.

I actually find too many muscles unattractive on men. Just my opinion, not saying they are unattractive, it's just not my preference.

This! Even when it's a physical activity like playing a favourite sport, or something like rock climbing (or was it mountain?!) which Magz does. I generally find physically active people tend to be happier within themselves.

I've experienced this years ago due to overtraining, and then again when I used incorrect form for a new workout I tried.

But I know what you mean, when doing it right and having exercise as part of your lifestyle, you can only reap benefits from it.

And this!

People who think being obsessed with music = being obsessed with band members.

It really is about the music and lyrics for us music fans.

I've noticed that to. More and more it seems people live sedentary lives. Not being critical here...in most cases it seems involuntary. Like people who work 40 plus hours a week at a desk job, then have to run errands, pay bills, clean the house, wash clothes, blah blah all the mundane life things that comes with that pesky adulting business. Then they still have to sleep and eat. Then there's family and friend obligations and unless you have active family and friends, that time spent is often spent eating or watching something on tv because everyone is tired, hungry, and looking to relax. It can be damn near impossible to fit physical activities into a packed schedule. Anyway..

I say all that to say, I don't think people were meant to sit around as much as we (as a whole) seem to these days. I think lack of movement does stuff to people, and not good stuff. I can say the same for lack of being outside. I think more people should go outdoors to as it also seems to pay out tons of mental health benefits.

1. Comedians who resort to profanity (e.g., "Dirty Words") when they stop getting laughs.
2. Profanity being used as adjectives, adverbs, and punctuation all in the same sentence.
