HEY, GUESS WHAT EVERYONE!

Work has been running this competition for over the past 6 months called "The National Innovation Competition" where, if you've done something that has increased productivity and made a difference to work, your boss can nominate you to be in the competition. It's nation wide - ALL OF AUSTRALIA!

My boss nominated me for the program I've been developing for over the past 2 years. My program can do 11 times more work than a person can do manually.

There were 351 candidates Australia wide and... I WON IT!!

I get my own team of people to help develop it (if they can find anyone else in the Department who can program) and I've got to fly down to Canberra in December to receive my award.

Maybe the positives of being an Aspie DO outweigh the negatives :)))

Unix vs Linux in terms of backdoors, GO. Which one do you think would be the safest in terms of all out paranoid security?

I am already running PGP encryption on EVERYTHING.

In answer to your question dcj, and it is a good question.

UNIX is developed by companies and unless you find a hole in sloppily written code by that company, you won't get in!
Having said that, even Apache occasionally screws up so no matter how good the system, it's just a matter of trial and error.

The Linux repository - the code is well scrutinized before it's released but things still happen. Root kits still work these days.

I could (but wouldn't) send you an email that would run in the background and have it 'transmit' your IP address back to me and allow me to take control of your computer over UDP!

NOTHING - NO ONE is safe.

^^^I just got Pokemon Moon, and I was quite intrigued that the new region is based on Hawaii. Sinnoh and Alola might be my favourite Pokemon regions.

I have already have that too and no you can't because I have disabled UDP for that reason. I pretty much black list everything but what I doing and since my router has a phone app (though I am running it from my Ipod), I can pretty turn on what site I want to visit like a romote control lol. I am thinking about a custom router firmware but I haven't made up my mind yet and this is a good one other the WPS being a joke but I have completely disabled it.

Hi Kura.

Not a story (yet) but keep posted for a sec!

I'll tell you another lovely kitty story a bit later on.

^Thank you! :D
There's a picture of me as a little one with spaghetti all over my face and the high chair I was sitting in. Seeing Boo eating like that reminded me of the picture.

:)

You're welcome.

Do you remember the last story I told you about the little kitty that was lost in the jungle and the lions and tigers and elephants were after her?
