I begin constructing a snow fort. I roll an 11 on a Masonry skill check (9), failing by 2.

I haven't been in snow since 1965. Sylkat

I throw a small sample of loose snow at the nearest person. Because the snow is loose, there is a modifier of -2. I make a Throwing check (5-2) and get a 9, failing by 6. The snow scatters after exiting my hand. However, the target notices and appears to be making a snowball!

Last time I saw snow was early this year.

I begin constructing a snow fort (again). I roll an 10 on a Masonry skill check with a modifier of +1 because of seeing the earlier failure (10), barely succeeding. The snow fort is somewhat weak and it would only take a few well-aimed snowballs to take it down...

I don't have snow now, I've got mud. Lots of mud. Rain began yesterday, continued determinedly through the night, left me puddles and wet rugs and blankets on the line, and mud. Lots of mud. I need some hot tea, I think. Sylkat

We gots lots of beautifully colored leaves everywhere. But there is also this guy who has been walking up and down the sidewalk in front of my apartment building singing. Earlier I went out to take the trash to the dumpster and he got up from the porch of another apartment building and followed me to the dumpster and then followed me back but then continued walking up and down the sidewalk singing. This is not the first night he's been walking up and down the sidewalk singing for many days especially when I have my window in my kitchen open and the weather is nice. Now he's back sitting on the porch staring up at my window.

I'm going to start wearing my gun again. We will see how often he parades back and forth infront of my apartment building or if he ever follows me to the dumpster and back with no garbage or trash to throw away in his hands then. I know of three women (all three are around my age) who have been jumped and robbed in my neighborhood and I'm not going to be one of them.

There's a man who lives in my neighbourhood who used to walk up and down the street, talking to himself in his native language. He would shout at the street lights. If anybody said anything nasty to him, he would start punching them and try to beat them up. He lives in one of my friends buildings and he talks to himself all hours of the day, having monologues.
