It is believed that I am how I am due to my mom receiving a dose (later deemed too excessive) of a drug used to treat an asthma attack she had when she was 3 months pregnant with me. This has yet to be actually proven.

I'm going to clean the stairs today, because they look really bad because of the renovations. I have to take water from the celler, as there is no water in the apartment yet. There is only cold water in the celler. Then the stairs will look better for my neighbours during the Christmas holliday. I'm not really sure what the motivation is for this action, because I don't think I really care about my neighbours.

god you'd have to be perverted to be attracted sexually to a cruise ship.

That is funny about the sexual attraction to a cruise ship.

Oh my god! 8O
i am not sure what the meaning of your emoticon is, but i was making a kind of joke.

i am naturally quite literal, but i also find humor in exaggerated and deliberate literalness, especially when a phrase can be interpreted a stupid way.

so the situation was that the sexual assault on another passenger occurred whilst on a cruise ship, but the phrasing
"a man has been charged with a sexual assault on a cruise ship", just begs for misinterpretation.

sorry if you were fooled.

Funny...a friend of mine is in Brazil at the moment and he emailed me last night to tell me that he had "caught the sun".

In my mind I saw an extreme version of the children's game "Hot potato".

the phrase "caught the sun" is easily misinterpreted i guess and so i would not really bother trying to look for flaws in it.

the first things that come to mind are "who threw it at you?" and "at least it didn't escape", and "what did you catch it doing? shining?"

but i guess he meant he got some sunshine on his skin, and my first actual real thought about that is that "that's not really hard to do in Brazil is it?"

news flash on TV just now...

"actor hugh jackman forced to abandon his swim at bondi beach after a shark was spotted in the water"

what a stroke of bad luck ! if it had been spotted on land, then he would have been able to complete his swim.

there is so much superfluousness on the news these days.

like someone was found bludgeoned to death with a blunt object.
it is impossible to bludgeon someone to death with a sharp object. in that case, they would have been said to have been slashed to death or stabbed to death with a sharp object.

_____________
i know i have spoken about oysters before, but i will do so again.
i wonder sometimes about how one could tell a psychiatrically disturbed oyster from a normal sane one.

when you look at a shoreline with millions of oysters on them, you have to wonder if they all have distinct personalities. are some very cranky oysters and some quite peaceful ones?

i wonder sometimes whether everything that lives (above the level of slime and bacteria and viruses) has some sort of intelligence.

if they do, then there must have been an oyster in history which was the most intelligent oyster that ever lived.
whether it was 50 million years ago or today.

so would one, when looking at a patch of oysters, notice anything different about the smartest oyster in history?
or would you just lever it off the rock and shuck it and eat it and s**t it in three days and think no more about it?

a question that will never be answered in my mind. how do you google that question?
