^ I get the feeling it would be a remix of the gen 6 Champion theme.

I honestly had much better luck with shinies back in the days of Gold and Silver. I actually caught a shiny Entei once on Silver, among a dozen others. Haven't caught any in any gen since. I did actually run into a shiny Fletchling once on X in the patch of grass JUST before you are given your first pokeballs.
