Seriously, this trip to Hawaii did wonders to me. It did turn around, and I ended up having a wonderful time!

That, and I am back on WP, this time for good.

I am starting vitamin D today.

Today, I discovered that I won a writing competition three times over!

WKCE testing

The landlord cashed in my rent check, but that's not what made me happy.

Cashing in the check made my bank account be $850 less.

The subtraction brought my total bank account down to $455, making me eligible for Medicaid.

Since I was already medically cleared for Medicaid, I'm now officially registered.

I'm now eligible for the Housing and Essential Needs Program.

I'll call them tomorrow to register so I can see if they can help with the rent.

I'm home again. Now, the process of moving to.L.A. continues.....

I'm relieved that redrobin seems to be going to be ok. I've been worried about him recently.

I went to have Chinese buffet lunch with my mum. The food was delicious and the place was not too crowded. After that we went for a walk in the harbor/park area. It was a nice sunny day.

At home I managed to upgrade my OS to Window 8.1.

Drawing made me happy! I'm really looking forward to getting my art supplies in the mail so that I can ink and color my sketches!

met a few pretty girls tonight...no digital though..

I am going out today.

Well, now I'm back home from Hawaii, after a long tour of Seattle. Found a few jerseys at the thrift stores there today!

I am going to see Thor today.

Family is visiting. There is a three year ld and a one year old. They are soooooo cute!

My cleaner turned up! Unexpectedly, because I hadn't realised it was Saturday, but not inconveniently.

She is small and delicate (I would describe her as bird-like, taking into account her physique and her rather fluttering personal movements and expressions).

And Bulgarian, with only the most basic grasp of English, but that didn't really matter and I think we managed to make each other understood by mime and gesture when we really got stuck.

She got straight in and down to work, tackling the disgusting mess in my room head-on.

She filled and removed around six standard bin-bags of crap, and then gave the room its first proper hoovering since I moved in,

She also washed very thoroughly all the various crockery and cutlery that she found amid the piles of rubbish.

I wanted to apologise for the disgusting squalor I was living in, and explain how my mental health usually makes it impossible to tackle housework so that it builds up to the levels she saw, but we didn't have enough vocabulary in common and I couldn't think of a suitable way to mime what I wanted to say.

So I paid her the agreed fee, plus a 20 per cent tip and gave her bag of winegums, as tokens of my appreciation,

She seemed quite delighted with this, and it suddenly dawned on me that after the agency had taken its cut, she was probably working for less than the legal Minimum Wage, and that my tip (which I hope she hasn't declared to the agency) probably represented payment for a full hour of work after her employer's deductions.

So I was happy on two fronts: Firstly, I have a clean and tidy room for the first time in ages (possibly for the first time this year); and secondly, I met a nice woman, who did her job well, and I did her a minor good turn, and hopefully we will get along fine during future appointments,

My first full day back home, and I get to sleep in (my backaches notwithstanding).
