i had a soft nightmare about being back in the army as a patient in an army hospital and some NCO came up to me and said I was being court-martialed for something or another, and i was led in my hospital gown to a courtroom. and at the trial it came out that the officer accusing me was guilty of it himself and he lied to get himself out of trouble, so they dismissed my charges but instead of charging the officer, he got a medal and a promotion and a command somewhere else.

This morning I dreamed I was watching an anime about a little boy who has to take care of his two younger sisters - a toddler and an infant - on his own since his mother died (don't know where the dad is). I thought it was very strange that a kid is looking after his siblings and living alone with no adults at all, but I thought this may not be as big of a deal in Japan. But this kid has had one downer of a childhood. It shows flashbacks of him being bullied in school. In one scene the entire class pin him down while someone writes an insult that I didn't understand on the back of his pants. His only positive memories were of his mother before she died. And then they show a flashback of how she died and it was awful. The mom and the boy were on a plane that was taken over by terrorists and then one of them left the cockpit and started killing everyone with a machine gun. Everything was frozen in time. The boy and his mom are shown happily chatting to each other, along with all the other passengers as the bullets that look like blood red streaks go right through them. The scene was in black and white except for the blood, and the boy is the only one to survive this massacre.

Just them an Asian man who I didn't know came into the room and sat down to watch. For some reason I get *very* uncomfortable when other people are around while I'm watching cartoons or anime, so I got up and left. But I never found out how it ended.

wow :o the Asian aspect of it relates to old wisdom, maybe it is reflective of waking events/daily stresses that are crowding out everything else relating to your learning/self improvement?

A nightmare.

We were sitting at the kitchen table and I thought I heard a knock at the front door.
When I opened it, there were three large dolls lying on my front verandah.
As I watched, the one in the middle turned it's head to face me.
It had the creepiest, most f****d up face you could image.
It then sat up.
By this time, I was freaking sh*****g myself and I shut and locked the door.
I then had a completely hysterical and mostly incoherent conversation with my housemate about what I'd seen.
She suddenly grabbed my arm and said, "They're in the house."
I realised I'd been panicking so much I hadn't thought to lock the back door and I could hear them making a noise kind of like giggling.
I was absolutely frozen in terror.

Thankfully, I woke up then.

whoah. :o that reminds me of that movie "trilogy of terror" with the persistently malevolent voodoo doll in it. 8O :skull: i'm wondering if the "dolls" were representative of patronizing people you deal with in waking life?

^ I don't know, but it scared the s**t out of me, and I woke up in a sweat.
It took me a long time to get back to sleep.

i just got up after a bizarre dream about Indiana gov. mike pence and his family moving into my parents' old house. gov. pence was dressed like a logger, with reddish orange flannel shirt, heavy jeans and work boots. he was sullen with me and acted like i wasn't even there, but his wife was friendly. to get away from him I went outside and noticed a bunch of holes were punched into the foundation of the house, and the cement block barrier around the rock garden was damaged to the point where the cement was dissolved and the blocks were scattered. then I went to the garage and found a bunch of unfamiliar electronics were just setting outside piled on a ledge. a bunch of gray spider monkeys were scampering about and knocked one of them off the pile onto a sharp outcropping of rock but somehow it wasn't damaged even though it made a sharp "CRUNCH!" sound when it hit on its edge. all the electronics were made of some shiny black material. I wanted to get a closer look but there were a bunch of BB-sized aggressive bees that kept me away. then I awoke. strange, no? :alien:

I would say so! :)

Not sure what it means.

But Mike Pence moving into your parents' house coincides with it being undermined with holes in the foundation. What might that mean?

precisely that it would mean that IMHO his type of sanctimonious charlatan would undermine the foundations of my life via darwinistic social policies and puritanical moral codes.
