It seems risky to reveal the normality of an experience to someone who wishes to feel unique. Kids don't want to hear how easily adults can predict their next move, or hear about the obvious flaws in their original but completely standard misconceptions.

love... i believed in that once... maybe it works for some people but all ive managed to do with that is make a complete mess out of a good friendship

SentientPotato, hopefully you've slept by now. Sorry you're feeling heartbroken or otherwise upset. I've had relationship troubles too.

Jrjones, yeah, I guess it's probably best not to burst the kids' bubbles. I know I've bursted too many bubbles without thinking or meaning to.

Feel sorry for all the police and fire folks in the howling blizzard today. Stuck cars and sparking powerlines in the road all over town, and burglar alarms going off when doors blow open. They should get bonus pay for the day.
