I am worried about my husband's low tolerance for jerks and how that will affect his ability to hold a job or get along in any other group setting. There is *always* a jerk. And you just have to shut your mouth and deal with it. Because if you call him out, *you're* going to be percieved as the one starting trouble.
Especially if said jerk is favored by the bosses for some unknown reason.

Something I will always remember about all the Tony Attwood videos I have seen:
(Paraphrasing here : "Tell your boss you have Aspergers Syndrome,
Tell your boss you can't comprehend social niceties and are completely disinterested in 'one upmanship games'
Tell your boss you're just here to work and put One Hundred percent
of your energy into it
and are completely oblivious to all the blah, blah, blah, yada, yada, yada,
he said, she said,
bullsh*t that goes on in here")

Oh Meadow, you're such a worry! :(
Don't you know the secret to happiness?

You see what I did just there ^.I tried to help Mith,
I tried to lead her on to an understanding.

I tried to be "The Power of One"
Maybe I was, maybe I failed,
maybe it was a waste of my time,
maybe it was the most important thing Mith and her husband needed to hear, right now,
maybe they'll never read it!

The important thing is,
You are VERY real,
and your life and experiences touch us all
and we need you to share the joys most of all so we can all enjoy a collective

... but also to carefully warn our fellow WPers of the grim dangers that
this Aspy life entails.

Don't let us down, Meadow, you are wonderfull!
All of us Aspies are Wonderfull!
And we will all find our own special niche,
given space and time

Good advice, syzygyish. I don't think it exactly applies to my husband, though. He is very sensitive to the "BS" that goes on and is very determined to enforce justice at all costs.

I, however, am oblivious. I am content to just do my job and let the hens peck eachother to death.
:P

^^^

I am the same way about enforcing justice and/or requesting closure.

I wasn't alive before I was conceived, and I won't be alive after death. So I get to be alive once, and not alive twice. How sh***y is that? :?

Oh noes!
I just found out J.D. Salinger has died! :(
 :pale:

Probably the most famous undiagnosed Aspy in the world!
When I try to be helpful and hopeful and positive and inspiring to everyone here,
He's the guy that I am subconsciously channeling!

"The Catcher in the Rye" was Such a beautifull story!
It reverberates within me... I AM the catcher in the rye!
But only on WP.

:( :( :(

I'll have to play that when I worry about my son's little outbursts at the computer. No comparison. That kid's out of control. 8O

My suburb was on the news this morning :
"The highest rainfall on the Gold Coast overnight was in Molendiner,
which received 41mm." :D

Midriff Bulge.
When I was in first grade I heard that term in advertisements and I didn't know what it meant but I thought it sounded interesting. Once in 1st grade I decided to say it out loud just to test it out. The teacher gasped and said "Aimless!". Then I thought it must be some sort of shameful thing.
