I just had my very first shot of alcoholic. The alcohol content isn't high enough to get me (probably anyone) drunk.

And I ended up getting dragged into a drinking game.

At first shot, it burns. It took me more than 5 minutes before I muster enough courage to drink the shot in one gulp.

With each shot, one must confess their memories and their desires. (Not that in order.. I'm not telling anymore details about the game)

There were 9 of us  so about 4 rounds then then bottle's empty.

At 4th shot, I'm still not drunk that I'm sure.
.. And it burns. It tastes like chemicals. :eew:

I'm really starting to feel like I must be living in the most suspicious country in the world. I think I need to get to know everybody again.

If it's soju, that's buzzed; if vodka, drunk.

If it's something as strong as vodka, I'd probably choke and spit before I'd ever swallow... 8O Or as soon as it touches my mouth.

... Buzz?

Buzzed is when people are drunk, but not enough to realize it completely. Social inhibitions are lowered, but intellectual functioning has only started to be affected. The other stages of drunkenness: drunk, hammered, blotto, or however you label them locally, just represent further diminishment of cognitive processing. At that point, the person becomes more ruled by their biosurvival urges and emotions. However, the rather severe physical impairment often keeps them from doing anything too serious. It's a great way to understand the motivations underlying social behavior, if you can recall and process the information you get when you go drinking with people.

ETA: I just reread your first post, and realized you weren't talking about something moderately strong, but something very weak. Amazake? Light beer? Makgeolli? Eight ounces or so of one of those might be enough to notice. Probably not the sweet sake, or an extremely light beer.

I think aspies may have to train up to notice the effects of small amounts of alcohol. However, it relates to social functioning, and contemplating it may lead to useful insights. It's probably worth the small physical costs to have a passing familiarity with alcohol, since it plays such a big role in many social situations.

I won't say that bacon makes everything better, but bacon does make a surprising number of things better

I think I might be up until midnight cleaning the brown debris from under my bathroom sink.

if you get fined for going over the speed limit, then to be fair, you should be rewarded for going under the speed limit.

if that were the case, i would park my car all day between 2 speed signs and make a healthy living.

i am always distracted by what i see behind me in the bathroom mirror when i am shaving, and i often cut my face as a result. so to get around that, i have had my bathroom mirror mounted back to front.

whatever i have hundreds of those types of thoughts and i have to go to bed.
