It makes me feel happy.
But I feel it's inappropriate when I want to respond to threads in the Haven.

for what it's worth to you, I think it is a splendid avatar and would work well in the haven whose hurting denizens do not need to see an unhappy face. :wtg:

No, it's not inappropiate :) Just because one is happy and smiling on a picture, doesn't mean one doesn't feel down sometimes.

If people are really down sometimes it can make them feel worse to see a happy face.

Yes it's ok. I can see how it might be discouraging for someone who maybe hasn't had much luck finding a partner or something like that, and is feeling depressed about it, to see your handsome face. But you know what... that's their problem. If you reply to their post to try to give them something, they should be thankfull for that.
