That my neighbors may be the source of my night terrors. If this is true, then I cannot wait to move out of this s****y apartment.

That I posted the 1,000th post in this thread.

Oh, and that lighting thermite in a porcelain crucible = cracked crucible. Need to upgrade to alumina next time, and that it's not always apparent on the camera screen whether or not something's actually in focus.

I learned that rough rubies really do look like pop-rocks.
I wouldn't recommend eating them, though.

This was last night, but I learned what Everclear is. I thought at first it was a brand of eye drops or something. Having the stuff even near your eyes probably isn't a good idea, because it's a very potent grain alcohol and there's even a warning on the bottle to keep it away from flames and not to drink it unless it's diluted and mixed into beverages.

I don't drink alcohol, which may be why I didn't know what it was. But doing something doesn't automatically make you an expert on the subject. :)

Dropping in on McD's on the way home from a short winter walk in a forest is a great idea.

I learned that cats won't take 'No', 'Stop', or 'I want to sleep' for an answer.

That some people should literally look before crossing a motorway, as if to avoid winding up becoming another statistical casualty
