I hate the word random! Does anyone else think it's completely over-used now? Like if someone wants to portray themselves as a cool, hip, whacky person then they'll say they're random.
Oh that wasn't directed at any of the previous posters it's just that everyone seems to be using that word now. There's a comedy programme on Scottish TV and they do this sketch where they see how many times they can say the word random in the conversation.

Yes I'm very random and seem to get into serious trouble by people. I don't always think before I speak and I'm not a very pc person....I just can't take everything so serious. Sarcasm and random humor seem to be my only way of coping with people who are socially endowed among the peking order.
Keeping my thoughts and opinions to myself is just a no no...so watch out!

That would make; Anna Random Banana.
@ the OP, yo.... Um, nah, I do not believe folks call me random for I'm an one off. My appearance is quite unique (being a long haired stoat that talks) and for one reason or another most things I say aren't random also. It appears normal to me but folks tend to say 'what?' and don't understand my logical (a tad philosophical) approach towards all sorts of matters (plus my sentence build up differs from most). My sometimes used overly dry humour doesn't compute also all the time. But hey....
(f*ck 'm, I don't really care no more what most think of me)
People who call themselves random or get rightfully called random by others are probably trying way to hard to be funny/strange by blurting out stupid non-sequitors

If I'm ever referred to as being random it's when my train of thought has gone past enough stations in my mind to have become completely separated from whatever the topic was, and then I say what I'm thinking. Can be a bit confusing for others.

Yes. I sometimes try to string my thoughts together to figure out how I got from thought A to thought B, but more often than not, I have no idea where thought B came from.
