Ebay, get a job, yard sale, beg on the streets, sell drugs, and become a burgler/bank robber are the only things I can think of. Although I highly recommend you dont do the last two things.

If you are good at math, go to a blackjack table at a casino and count cards. They will kick you out, but not before you make a bit of money.

Or sell anything you don't need. EBay or Craigslist are your best chances.

Off topic, but I was always curious. Would the casinos really beat the crap out of you and threaten your life if you mention a lawsuit, or is all of that just hollywood?

So even though I would be breaking the law by counting cards, they wouldnt be breaking the law by holding me against my will and beating me?

I think it's more hollywood. They can and will use much more excessive force though than say a cop would. Being that you are on private property, and thats not for people counting cards, thats for people using systems or machines and s**t like that. They'll just ask you to leave, the asking being a courtesy on their part.

If you go to the older strip, the north side of Vegas, The Golden Nugget, The Lady Luck, those old ones all offer single deck blackjack so counting cards is easy. They have max bets of $3 or $5 at most though, so you cant win big. But you can grind out a few hundred dollars in a day if you stick with it.

A lot of money is very relative, you talking like a grand to keep from getting evicted, or like 25 grand to bail someone outta jail? =P

I'd have to back the craigslist/ebay thing.

There are 2 rules to making money.
1. You have to spend money to make money
2. Spend other peoples money.

That just seems rediculous. So the government has no right to step in then? If thats true, then there could be a giant meth lab and pot farm and the government couldnt do a thing because its a private buisiness. I agree with Willa, I think hollywood's depiction is a little extreme.

no no no, they catch you using a machine or working in a group and they're gonna send you out the back door, if you're lucky they'll call an ambulance ahead of time for you. But they think you're just counting cards in your head they'll just tell you to leave.

Vegas' may not be run by the mob anymore, but the laws set in place were still written by the mafia =P.
